Immulina and vaccination
Three-year-old boy has been just vaccinated against hepatitis A. The mother asks if she can give him Immulina in such situation?
Answer: Immulina supports innate immunity mainly. A strong innate (congenital) immunity is essential that vaccination will become effective. In addition, good immunity ensures that vaccination is safe. That is why it is not only possible, but it is worthwhile to administer Immulina to all people (including children) before, during and after vaccinations.
Taste of Immulina
The mother of a 6-year-old daughter asks what to do if the daughter does not want to drink immulina syrup because of its taste?
Answer: Immulina tastes acceptable to the waste majority of children. Although Immulina is not very "delicious", it tastes sufficiently well that the child would take as much preparation as it is recommended.
However, if the child definitely does not like its taste, it is best to serve Immulina well chilled (from the fridge, directly). One has to notice that such small amount of cold syrup – 1 teaspon (5 ml) should not have negative impact on throat health, taking into account that the child does not have sore throat in this very moment
Sugar in Immulina syrup
Many parents ask if the high sugar content of the syrup may have any negative impact on children's health? Especially when you hear so much now that you should pay attention not to give your children high-sugar drinks.
Answer: Since the amount of administered Immulina syrup is very small, from 2.5 to 5 ml (i.e. from ½ to 1 teaspoon), despite the fact that the syrup contains approx. 50% sugar, the amount of given sugar is negligible and cannot have any negative impact children health, as long as they do not suffer form diabetes. Additionally, we plan to introduce sugar-free Immulina in the near future.
Please also notice that doctors’ and dietitians’ reservations are related to the sweetened drinks that children drink a lot, by several glasses. These drinks contain about from 10 to 20% of sugar (and more) and provide 20 to 40 grams of sugar in 1 glass (200 ml) of such a drink. This is approx. 20 times and more than amount of sugar the child can get in Immulina syrup in a day.
